Teachers: So Much More Than Just Classroom Educators. Paulson & Nace, PLLC Thanks Them.

It’s that time of year again! Paulson & Nace, PLLC is proud to participate in Injury Board’s Day of Action 2021. This year we will be expressing our gratitude for essential workers in our community through a donation of 10 CIRCA restaurant gift cards to the teachers at Living Classrooms.

Coronavirus has been hard on all of us over the past year and a half, but it has been particularly challenging for teachers. Not only have they had to construct an online curriculum that is informative, engaging, and appropriate for their students, but they have also had to act as full-time allies for students struggling to adapt to a new way of life.

The teachers at Living Classrooms know these struggles all too well. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, they were forced to pivot to virtual instruction. Not only did the teachers conduct classes virtually, but they also delivered STEAM boxes to school children to help keep them engaged in learning. They encouraged equitable access to education by donating computers and providing Wi-Fi for many of the children attending their school.

During this time, they continued to conduct community outreach. They converted one of their locations into a food pantry and provided over 77, 000 meals to those in need; educated community members about vaccination; and gave assistance to those trying to navigate unemployment.

We would like to express our gratitude for all that Living Classrooms has done for our community through our donation of 10 gift cards to their teachers.

In hopes of doing the most good with our donation, we have decided to purchase these gift cards from CIRCA, a local restaurant which has continued to serve food to people throughout the pandemic.

Living Classrooms runs various community programs including a charter school in Baltimore, Maryland which began in 2001. While their school provides formal education and experiential learning to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in the Baltimore area, Living Classrooms also seeks to provide equitable access to education, promote workforce development, and encourage environmental justice.
