Paulson & Nace, PLLC Honored at Annual AAJ Convention in Denver
The attorneys of Paulson & Nace attended the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Annual Convention in July, held this year in Denver, Colorado. It was, as always, an exceptional conference, and partners Christopher T. Nace and Matthew A. Nace were both honored for their work this year.
Christopher Nace was awarded the AAJ Distinguished Service Award by out-going president Kathleen Nastri. The award “recognizes members of the AAJ Board of Governors who during the past year have been of special assistance to the President of the Association.” He was also appointed to the AAJ Executive Committee by President Elise Sanguinetti, which is part of the Leadership of AAJ.
Matthew Nace was elected to the AAJ Board of Governors, the governing body of AAJ, as a representative of the Section Leaders Council. He was also elevated Chair of the Motor Vehicle Collision Highway and Premises Liability Section.
About the annual AAJ convention
AAJ sponsors its annual convention every year to offer members exclusive opportunities to network, to earn CLE credits, and to take part in round table discussions and panels which focus on the issues facing trial lawyers throughout the country. The convention also features an Exhibition Hall, where lawyers can talk to companies which offer services to law firms – everything from cutting-edge software, marketing and case management tools to consulting and publishing firms. The conference also offers entertainment, meet-and-greets, happy hours and receptions for the multiple groups within the organization.
The mission of the American Association for Justice “is to promote a fair and effective justice system—and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.” AAJ’s annual convention is, at heart, a way to give back to the lawyers who fight to protect and improve the civil justice system. It is an opportunity to honor the work that they do, and offer additional resources to attorneys of all practice areas, from all parts of the country, so they can continue to protect and serve their clients.
Paulson & Nace founding partner Barry J. Nace is a past-president of AAJ.
All of us at Paulson & Nace, PLLC are very proud of the work both Christopher and Matthew have done, and of the honors they received during the annual AAJ convention. We know they will continue the good work being done by their predecessors, and continue to fight for our clients, and all people in need of legal counsel.
