Paulson & Nace Congratulates Christina Gil, This Year’s Scholarship Recipient!
Paulson & Nace, PLLC is proud to announce that law student Christina Gil has been awarded the Barry J. Nace Pursuit of Justice Scholarship for 2018! Ms. Gil is enrolled as a J.D. Candidate in American University Washington College of Law; she expects to graduate in 2020.
About Christina Gil
Ms. Gil is an extraordinary young woman. While studying at Georgetown University, she served as an Institute Assistant for the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, and a legal aid intern at the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), in Chicago. She was also a Program Assistant at the National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI), worked as a law clerk for the Cook County Public Defender, and interned with Senator Richard Durbin.
After graduating from Georgetown University May of 2013, Ms. Gil worked as a paralegal for the Immigration Law Group here in D.C. She also served as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Academic Office at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, and then later accepted a position in the H.R. Department of Howard University.
She enrolled in American University’s Washington College of Law, and has since joined the American Bar Association, the Latino/a Law Students’ Association (LaLSA), and the Student Affairs Committee of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (HBA-DC). She is also a legal clinic volunteer at CASA De Maryland.
