Christopher T. Nace Named 2021 Recipient of Howard Twiggs Award by AAJ
Paulson & Nace, PLLC is proud to announce that partner Christopher T. Nace is the 2021 recipient of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Howard Twiggs award. The late Howard Twiggs was a trial attorney, state legislator, and former president of AAJ (then known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America).
The Howard Twiggs award “recognizes an AAJ member of at least ten years standing whose passion, civility, cordiality, and professionalism reflect the high standards set by Howard Twiggs; and whose courtroom advocacy and distinguished service to AAJ have brought honor to the trial bar and the legal profession.”
Mr. Nace was recognized by AAJ “for bringing honor to the trial bar and legal profession through his outstanding representation of clients in medical malpractice, drug and product liability, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and other negligence and personal injury matters.”
About award winner Chris Nace
AAJ recognized Chris Nace not only for his contributions to the bar and the profession, but also for his leadership within the organization. Since joining AAJ, Mr. Nace served as a Chair of its New Lawyers Division and its Membership Oversight Committee and has served as an elected member of its Executive Committee since 2018. Currently, he serves as Chair of AAJ’s Audit Committee. He is a 3-time recipient of AAJ’s Distinguished Service Award and has been honored with its Wiedemann Wysocki Award and Heavy Lifting Award, as well. In 2019, Mr. Nace was awarded the Joe Tonahill Award by AAJ’s New Lawyers Division for his “outstanding and dedicated service to and support of consumers and the trial bar.”
Mr. Nace is a Past President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., and currently sits on the Board for the Public Justice Foundation. He also serves on the Board of the National Capital Region Living Classrooms Foundation and is the Vice President of the Pound Institute for Civil Justice.
Mr. Nace has also been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Washingtonian Magazine, and The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers. In 2021, he was named to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers list.
