Paulson & Nace, PLLC is proud to announce that partner Christopher T. Nace has recently been elected President Elect of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. He has served in the role of Vice President of the TLA-DC since 2015. We are thrilled to see his leadership continue into the next year as he serves as President, a position his father, Barry J. What is the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.?
The TLA-DC is a non-profit, voluntary Bar organization made up of “trial lawyers [who] are dedicated to the protection of individual rights, the promotion of equal justice under law and the highest ideals of public service.” The group offers a wide variety of networking opportunities to D.C. trial lawyers, but is also offers it members exclusive access to:
- Databanks with hundreds of thousands of depositions, and thousands of briefs and case summaries
- Listserves with important cases and important changes in the law
- Educational opportunities
- Updated statutes and newsletters
- Community-based campaigns and projects
At its heart, the TLA-DC is about helping clients obtain justice, and “support[ing] and enforce[ing] the rights of individuals who have been injured due to another’s fault from motor vehicle collisions, defective products, abusive employment practices and other matters.”
A history of doing good
Chris has been involved in the TLA-DC for 10 years, as has his father, Barry J. Nace and his brother, Matthew A. Nace. At our firm, doing the right thing for clients is not optional – it is our mission. Chris’ work has been recognized not only by countless clients, but by prestigious legal organizations and associations, including:
- The American Association for Justice, where he is the Chair of that organization’s Board of Governors’ Compliance Committee, and serves as an at-large member of their Board of Governors;
- The Public Justice Foundation, where he serves on the Board of Governors; and
- The Pound Civil Justice Institute, for which he is a trustee.
Mr. Nace has also been recognized by Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 and Washingtonian Magazine.
We are sure that under Mr. Nace’s leadership, the TLA-DC will continue to flourish, and to create new and exciting opportunities for trial attorneys throughout Washington, D.C. We cannot think of a worthier candidate.
Congratulations, Chris – you deserve it!
