Paulson & Nace, PLLC Welcomes Our Newest Attorney, Maya J. Perry!
Paulson & Nace, PLLC is excited to introduce Maya J. Perry, our newest Associate Attorney. Maya handles complex medical malpractice and personal injury claims. She is passionate, meticulous, and dedicated to her clients’ best interests, and we know she’s a terrific addition to our team.
Maya earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (magna cum laude) and her J.D. from Howard University. During her time there, she was an active member of the Howard Law Human and Civil Rights Clinic and a member of the Public Interest Law Society. She interned with the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (“CREW”) and worked as a law clerk in both the DC Office of the Attorney General and with the Durham County (NC) District Attorney’s Office. She also served as an intern for the North Carolina General Assembly and the Legal Aid Society of NYC.
After graduation, Maya joined the DC’s Children’s Law Center’s Healthy Together Program as a staff attorney. There, she represented parents and caregivers in a wide array of legal issues which affected children’s health, from public benefits and special education needs to housing conditions.
Maya is a member of the American Association for Justice, Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. and the Washington Bar Association.
Maya’s also a “foodie” who loves checking out new restaurants and cuisines. She also loves spending time with family and friends (especially her nephew).
Maya J. Perry is a force for good in Washington, D.C.
We’ve seen Maya in action, and she is a fierce advocate for her clients. Her background is one of the many reasons we are thrilled she’s joined our team. She’s worked in the justice system at every level – as a pro bono attorney, an intern in the NC State legislature, and a force for criminal justice reform. Her work has helped shine a light on public ethics matters, too.
At every stage of her studies and her career, Maya has been an advocate for a more just and fair society – the very ideal Paulson & Nace, PLLC fights for every day. We cannot wait to see what she does next. We invite you to join us in welcoming her to the firm.
